Imagine yourself standing playing a good, hard fighting trout while standing in the midst of some of the most spectacular surroundings on earth: volcanos, barren moorlands and endless mountains, .... imagine yourself in Iceland, the land of the sagas.

Atlantik Travel works in partnership with some of Iceland's largest and most professional outfitters, who can offer fishing for both trout and salmon. We offer tailor made packages in all price classes. We fish specially selected rivers and lakes throughout Iceland, you can choose to fish both wet and dry flies in fast flowing rivers or crystal clear mountain lakes, surrounded by Iceland's outstanding scenery. We can arrange your trip to precisely fit your needs and wishes - but for now here are a couple of suggested itineraries:

Highland Trout Tour

Our suggested Highland Trout Tour comprises of 3 days fishing for brown trout in large/medium sized rivers of the beautiful Arnavatnsheidi Plateau, and 3 days fishing for big arctic char in the mountains lake Lake Hraunsvatn and its associated streams. You fly to Akureyri airport in northern Iceland where our Icelandic guide will be there to meet you. Our guests will stay in a fishing hut from where you will be driven out to the river/lake by the guide, who will be on hand  throughout the day to give advice on the fishing, choice of flies etc.

Example prices - Highland Trout Tour

With 4 anglers: €1,300- per person (ex. flights)

With 3 anglers: €1,610- per person (ex. flights)

With 2 anglers: €2,250- per person (ex. flights)

These prices include: Transfers, 6 (long) days trout fishing with guide and 4WD-vehicle, fishing licences, 7 nights in a fishing hut.

Rivers Jokla, Forgruhlidara & Nordura - trout and salmon combination.

If you wish to fish for both trout and salmon, we have the following suggestion: spend 3½ days fishing the Jokla and Forgruhlidara for trout and salmon, and 3 days fishing the trout stream the Nordura, primarily for arctic char. You fly to Akureyri aiport in northern Iceland where our Icelandic guide will meet you. Our guests will stay in a fishing hut from where you will be driven out to the river by the guide, who will be on hand throughout the day to give advice on the fishing, choice of flies etc.

With 3 anglers: €2,075- per person (ex. flights)

With 2 anglers: €2,700- per person (ex. flights)

These prices include: transfers, 7 fishing days (starting circa 16.00 on arrival day and ending 12.00 on departure day) for a combination of trout and salmon, with guide and 4WD-vehicle, fishing licenses, 7 nights in a fishing hut.
